The few minutes drive from wilderness, you do feel pleasingly remote. Crunching up the glinting shell pathway you can see across an indigenous garden and right out to sea. How about a braai in a half-Wigwam (teepee) like the Red Indians did? Or count the stars in the wood-fired Hot Tub in the evening? Or spoil yourself to an inhouse Healing Touch massage… Spend some time to relax in wind-sheltered garden basket-chair allowing you to sit in peace, looking out over the dunes for an hour or ten. Rainy days are also covered, with a host of board games, including a much-loved thirty-year-old edition of German Monopoly. White Mussel (either room only or B&B) is a north facing airy double bedroom (queen-size bed) at ground level of the East Wing with spectacular sea views which can be enjoyed from a private terrace.
Black Mussel (either room only or B&B) is an east facing spacious double bedroom (king-size bed) at ground level of the East Wing. Fynbos will amaze your eyes from a private patio.
Experience the American Apache way of accommodation: Stay in rustic but luxurious teepee-tent “Wigwam Rising Moon” (either room only or B&B), situated in the Fynbos a little bit away from the main house. Snuggle up in a comfortable octagonal bed and listen to the sounds of nature’s nightlife and do some stargazing at the same time (Skylight window)
All above accommodation options have: Own entrance; en-suite bathroom with spacious shower; ceiling fan in White Mussel and Wigwam Rising Moon; safe; Hi-Fi (only White Mussel and Black Mussel); TV; hairdryer; bed linen; towels; beach towels; Mini bar-fridge; coffee/tea facilities; alarm system; ample parking; private patio/balcony; non-smoking bedrooms; daily room service.

Terms & Conditions
- The property (you) must offer the 15% saving to all verified members
- Verification is done automatically at the time of an enquiry. It is at the property’s discretion whether to offer the saving for a telephonic enquiry. (As you have no means to verify the membership number, it is advisable to get them to do a formal enquiry so they can be verified).
- If the property is currently running a "Special" greater than 15% then the "Special" price will apply. (No further savings needs to be offered). EXCEPT in the case where the "Special" is lower than 15%. In that case the 15% will apply.
Example: A property offering a 10% discount, must offer an additional 5% discount to valid members - so they get a total 15% saving. - The property must offer valid members the saving all year round. (Properties that pick and chose in which seasons to participate run the risk of being removed from the programme completely. Allowing selective participation defeats the integrity of this initiative).
- The property must not inflate the price before the 15% is applied. Prices displayed should be the rack rate. (The official or advertised price of a room).
- The property must honour any bookings made while the property was participating as a $elect Stays property.
- The property must honour the agreement and the spirit in which the initiative is designed to benefit local tourism.
